Would you like to nominate this book for Teens’ Top Ten?  YES

Either way, please give a 2 or 3 sentence summary of the book that will make other teens want to read it:

LAINEY YOUNG THOUGHT SHE WAS GOING CRAZY UNTIL SHE STARTED ATTENDING NORTHBROOK ACADEMY–A PRIVATE BOARDING SCHOOL
WHERE MANY OF THE STUDENTS AND TEACHERS HAVE “GIFTS” LIKE SHE
DOES. BUT EVEN THERE SHE IS AN ODDITY; BETWEEN HER RARE POWERS, HER
ANONYMOUS LEGACY, AND THE FACT THAT SHE\’S DRAWN THE EYE OF LOCAL HOTTIE
CARTER, LAINEY STANDS OUT EVEN AMONG THE EXCEPTIONAL STUDENT BODY OF
NORTHBROOK. BUT NORTHBROOK TURNS OUT TO BE THE BEST THING FOR HER AS SHE
LEARNS TO CONTROL HER POWERS, MAKE NEW FRIENDS, AND EVEN FALL IN LOVE FOR
THE FIRST TIME.

What did you like or not like about the cover? Did the cover reflect the
contents?

THERE IS REALLY NOTHING THAT I WOULD CHANGE ABOUT THE COVER. IT’S PLEASING
TO LOOK AT AND ARTSY IN A WAY THAT HINTS AT THE BOARDING SCHOOL THEME.

Describe the most compelling aspect of the book.

THIS BOOK HAD GREAT CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AND BACKSTORY. IT SET UP A
PARANORMAL WORLD THAT’S EASY TO UNDERSTAND AND TOOK AN OVERUSED CONCEPT
AND MADE IT INTO SOMETHING FRESH AND FUN TO READ.

Were you disappointed with the book for any reason? If so, what was
disappointing?

THE PLOT SEEMED A BIT WEAK AND JUST SORT OF MEANDERED ALONG. HOWEVER, THIS
BOOK WAS MORE FOR BACKSTORY I THINK, AND IT LOOKS LIKE THERE’S GOING TO
BE A LOT MORE ACTION IN THE NEXT TWO BOOKS.

Did you finish the book?  YES

How would you rate this book?  4

5 Hard to imagine a better book

4 Better than most

3 Readable

2 Needs more work?

1 How did it get published?!?
